The Making of Bigfoot: The Inside Story is a 2004 book written by paranormal investigator [[Greg Long]] with a forward provided by [[Kal Korff]]. Long claims to debunk the [[Patterson-Gimlin film]].

Long interviews a number of eyewitnesses and argues that [[Roger Patterson]] was not always a stand-up guy, but that he was also a creative person who could fashion things with wood and clay. With these facts in hand, Long systematically attempted to prove that the film was a hoax and that the individual wearing the costume was [[Bob Heironimus]].

Long also interviewed several noted personalities in the field of bigfoot study, including [[Daniel Perez]], [[Larry Lund]], [[Peter Byrne]], Rene Dahinden and [[John Green]]. While they all gave varying opinions regarding the character of Roger Patterson, they were vehement in maintaining that the film depicted a real sasquatch.

The book sold poorly within and without the bigfoot community, and is today largely forgotten. It was heavily criticized by several investigators of the sasquatch phenomenon, most notably by Seattle, Washington, native [[Roger Knights]].
