Bigfoot Times’ editor Daniel Perez informed some associates that Richard Henry, who was involved in the early days of studying Bigfoot, died on July 21, 2018.

Henry lived in Willow Creek, California, and was 86.

As Perez points out, “Henry was the driver of Jim McClarin when they visited the [Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot] filmsite on November 5, just weeks after the famous movie was shot.”

Perez continues, “He was greatly impressed by the footprints he saw in the sandbar.” (Private correspondence, Perez to Coleman, July 22, 2008.)

However, in Bigfoot Exposed by skeptic David J. Daegling, Perez quotes Henry as expressing “mixed emotions” about the event recorded by the tracks, since he stated that “I could not find [tracks] where they started” and the sequence of footprints looked “symmetrical and mechanical.” (Daniel Perez interview with Richard Henry, July 7, 2003, in personal correspondence with David J.
