One of the peculiarities of the supposed creature is that, according to some proponents, tracks of the creature display three prominent toes. In the process of interviewing witnesses and family members, the two men learned of a fake foot attached to a shoe that matched the casts of the creature. They were able to examine and photograph the artifact.
