Lawrence Gene Lund (b. April 1st, 1947) is an American bigfoot researcher from Vancouver, Washington. His interest in the bigfoot mystery began in the 1960's when he heard a strange sound during a hunting trip with his father and uncle near Mount St. Helens. Lund entered military service in the mid-'60's; while stationed in Germany he saw the Patterson-Gimlin film, which served to promote his interest in the sasquatch phenomenon. Lund, who referred to himself as the Sasquatch Sleuth, befriended many researchers in the field, including Peter Byrne, John Green and Grover Krantz. His greatest friendship was with Rene Dahinden, whom he met in 1981; the two remained friends until Dahinden's death in 2001. Prior to Dahinden's death, Lund received much of his material.

Lund joined the Western Bigfoot Society (later the International Bigfoot Society), founded by Ray Crowe in the 1990's, and became its archivist. He has, for several years, maintained a service of providing old bigfoot movies, documentaries and conferences on VHS, and is in the process of transferring them to DVD. He investigated around the Mount St. Helens area when he was active in the field. He continues to help Ray Crowe and the IBS.
