In 1978 she had a close sighting of a bigfoot above Sonora, California.[1] In conjunction with [[Kathy Moskowitz Strain|Kathy Moskowitz Strain]], Montra has conducted research on an alleged nest found near Sonora and sightings/howls in the Lake Tahoe area. <br />
