John Willison Green was born in 1927 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Describing himself as a "newspaper man," Green earned a Masters Degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
Green has dedicated more than half a century to investigating the sasquatch mystery, interviewing hundreds of eye-witnesses across North America. He organized many of the details from these sightings, developing the first extensive computerized database on the subject.
Green is probably best known for his 1978 book Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us, published by Hancock House.
John Willison Green passed away May 28, 2016 in Chilliwack, at age 89.
