Kathy Moskowitz Strain is the Heritage Resource and Tribal Relations Programs Manager for the Stanislaus National Forest in Sonora, California. She is responsible for all archaeological, historical, and tribal resources on her Forest. Kathy also directs education and public participation programs on archeology and Native American cultures. She is considered to be an authority on the subject of the Hairy Man Pictographs and traditional bigfoot beliefs in native cultures. Kathy is a frequent speaker at bigfoot-related events, including the 2003 International Bigfoot Symposium.
Kathy is the past Chair and current Treasurer of the Alliance of Independent Bigfoot Researchers and serves as an Advisor for the TBRC.
Kathy and her husband, Bob Strain, were the producers of the Internet radio show "Let's Talk Bigfoot" hosted by Teresa Hall.

She also appeared in Monsterquest S1 E5 leading an all-woman expedition.
