North America Bigfoot Search (NABS) claims to be the only full time research group dedicated to investigating bigfoot/sasquatch sightings and encounters. The group conducted a long term research project in Hoopa, California located in far Northern California. Part of this effort included bringing in one of the foremost forensic sketch artists in the United States, Harvey Pratt[1], who drew sketches based on the descriptions of bigfoot witnesses. Nearly every sketch looks different than the Bluff Creek "Patty," yet they are similar to others completed during the project. [2]

NABS first publication, "The Hoopa Project" was released August 1, 2008 and is published by Hancock House. It was written by David Paulides.

The NABS website has an ongoing blog, written by their executive director, as well as descriptions and explanations of bigfoot behavior in the Western United States. The website also includes an extensive photo section, featuring some amazing shots of Northern California, and reviews of some of the best selling bigfoot-related books.

A press release initiated by NABS in early May 2008 announced that they had purchased the research material of Ray Crowe of the Western Bigfoot Society (Oregon). Crowe had accumulated over 25 years of bigfoot casts, sightings, analysis, books, magazines and critical contacts throughout the United States. NABS is dedicated to keeping the collection intact and in utilizing the research to further understand the bigfoot/sasquatch phenomenon. Crowe had done a fantastic job of accumulating valuable data and producing and distributing one of the largest circulated bigfoot newsletters in the United States, "The Track Record." Part of the purchase of his materials included all rights to the Track Record with a possible publication related to it in the future.

The release of the Missing 411 series of books have also been released through their website.
