Jim Lansdale is one of the most influential members of the Texas-based Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization (GCBRO). He is an active participant in the organization's public discussion forum and owns the property referred to as "Monster Central," site of much claimed bigfoot activity. Lansdale published a newsletter for a brief period.
He also starred alongside other GCBRO members in a one season show titled "Killing Bigfoot" in which they sought to remove nuisance Bigfoot from peoples' property who wanted them gone. The show itself generated a lot of controversy in the Bigfoot community, especially with the "No-Kill" side.
