The Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Expedition ran from 1960 to 1962 and was funded by Texas oil millionaire Tom Slick. The main participants in the expedition were Rene Dahinden, John Green, Peter Byrne and Bob Bob Titmus.

The expedition was the most ambitious and certainly the most expensive attempt to secure bigfoot evidence, involving all-terrain vehicles, helicopters, tracking dogs, and other methods. The expedition ended with the untimely death of Tom Slick in a helicopter crash.
