Eric Altman

Eric Altman, hails from Southwestern Pennsylvania and is the current director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society. Altman's research began in 1980 after watching the films The Legend of Boggy Creek and Creature from Black Lake. He spent the next 17 years researching bigfoot and sasquatch via books, newspapers, and magazine articles. In 1998, after attending the annual Ohio Bigfoot Conference, Altman began active field research as a member of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, serving as a point of contact for Pennsylvania. In 1998, Altman joined the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society and became the group's director in 2000, a position he still holds. Altman is the chairman for the Annual East Coast Bigfoot Conference, held in Pennsylvania, and he is the co-host/co-producer of the Blog Talk Radio program "Beyond The Edge Radio" with co-host Sean Forker. Altman is a member of the Pennsylvania Paranormal Society, The Pennsylvania Researchers Organization, The Center For Unexplained Events, and Sasquatch Watch of Virginia. Altman has spoken at a variety of conferences and presented to various groups, schools, clubs and organizations, including a May 2008 presentation at Penn State University. Updated: Eric has backed away from Bigfoot research to the point that he does a radio show committed to paranormal events and happenings. He is considered one of the Old School researchers from the 90s and early 2000s.
