J. Michael Long (b. 1961 in Mississippi) is a bigfoot researcher, documentary producer, and website designer.

In 2003 Jay Michael and MK Davis traveled to Louisiana to research the Honey Island Swamp Monster legend. One of the peculiarities of the supposed creature is that, according to some proponents, tracks of the creature display three prominent toes. In the process of interviewing witnesses and family members, the two men learned of a fake foot attached to a shoe that matched the casts of the creature. They were able to examine and photograph the artifact. MK Davis reported these findings at the 2003 Texas Bigfoot Conference, leading many to presume that the casts of the creature were either hoaxed or were misidentifications of American alligator footprints.

Long has produced several bigfoot-related documentaries including Swamp Apes, Bigfoot FAQ, The Honey Island Swamp Monster, and Bigfooting In Oklahoma.
