(Researcher) Marie Dumont
Marie Dumont is a native Floridian and is the founder of the Mid Florida Bigfoot Research Group and Research Team which focuses primarily on Florida Bigfoot and Skunk Ape research. They can be found on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and on their midfloridabigfoot.com website.
Marie is a dedicated, analytical, detail-oriented, experienced researcher who has been seriously researching Bigfoots and Skunk Apes in Florida for years. She became very interested in this subject after hearing an incredible loud and lengthy Bigfoot vocalization in the Ocala National Forest while camping with friends over 5 years ago. She has also been a lead paranormal investigator for over 30 years.
Marie’s field work specialty is finding structures and unusual things out in the woods and swamps. She has found prints, glyphs, numerous ‘X’ type structures, asterisk structures, lean-to and teepee-like structures of all shapes and sizes, shelter/nest like structures, unusual stacks or placement of shoved sticks and branches in the ground, as well as a ¼ trackway of 16 inch prints with a 54 inch stride she found at Jennings State Forest.
She is an artistic and creative person by nature, which allows her to successfully find things out in the woods and swamps that are unusual, unnatural or look out of place.
Marie is also a photographer, manages social media and handles all public relations, broadcasts, filming, events and outings for her research team.
Marie Dumont was a featured speaker at the Florida Skunk Ape lecture in 2021, the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference in January 2022, co-master of ceremonies at the SW FL Skunk Ape/Bigfoot Town Hall Conference in 2022, event host and organizer of the David Shealy Everglades/Skunk Ape Meeting in 2023, and was a featured Florida Skunk Ape presentation speaker during the Metaline Falls Bigfoot Festival at the historic Cutter Theater in Metaline Falls, WA in June 2024.
