Memorial Day Footage

The Memorial Day Footage (often referred to as 'MDF') is a video clip of an alleged bigfoot taken Memorial Day, May 27th, 1996, by Lori and Owen Pate 5.5 miles south of the Canadian border in Washington State.

The footage was thoroughly examined by the BFRO and tentatively endorsed. Rick Noll also investigated the area and concluded that the footage was real. The audio portion, which is considered quite controversial, was left out when the footage was shown on and included in the DVD for Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science. The transcript of the audio can be found at Bigfoot Encounters.

The footage shows what appears to be a smallish hairy creature running from left to right across the hillside. The footage was recreated for Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science with a long-distance runner from Washington State University Derek Prior, who ran faster than the alleged creature in the footage across the hillside. The footage is very controversial and may possibly be a hoax [citation needed]. According to some researchers, the Pates were only interested in making money off the footage and getting their names on television [citation needed].

It is also claimed by some that on the footage audio, Fred Bradshaw is alleged to be heard saying "Looks like a white boy to me," a phrase attributed to Bradshaw. The footage is still under heavy scrutiny and controversy today.
