Steve Kiley, 61, of West Linn, Oregon, a man interested in Bigfoot investigations, died around 11:15 PM, Tuesday night, June 14, 2016. His giant spirit and sharing personality will be missed by all.

Born November 16, 1953, in Boulder, Colorado to Eugene J. Kiley and Jesse Hadley Kiley; now Jesse Mitchell.

Kiley was from Lake Forest, Illinois, and went to Lake Forest High School. He studied at Alpine Campus, Outdoor Education, CMC, and lived in West Linn, Oregon.

Kiley was a fan of Beachfoot, the Oregon Bigfooters annual gathering. (From Kiley’s Facebook page. Created by Todd Neiss, 2012)

Steve Kiley was a very good friend of Joe Beelart, Todd Neiss, Diane Stocking Neiss, and many Oregon Bigfooters. For over 15 years Kiley shared his knowledge of the woods, tracking, and the mountains with local associates. He taught over friends how to fish with success.

Todd Neiss passes this along:

Steve was known to his close friends as “Trapper Steve” due to his expertise as a precessional trapper at one time. In fact I called him from Montana when I was conducting an estate sale at my grand parents home. I asked him which of the 110 traits my grandfather had were collectable. He was very helpful. I didn’t a good deal of time with him in the field. He was extremely knowledgeable. He will be dearly missed.

Kiley is mentioned in Beelart’s Oregon Bigfoot Highway as a “Clackamas Sasquatchian.”
