(Movie) Harry and the Hendersons
Harry and the Hendersons (UK title Bigfoot and the Hendersons) was a 1987 family film starring John Lithgow about a family who accidentally run over a bigfoot (played by 7'2" actor Kevin-Peter Hall), and return home with it. The film spawned a TV series, which ran for three seasons between 1991 and 1993.
The David Suchet character 'Jacques LaFleur' is often attributed to be an homage to real-life bigfoot investigator René Dahinden
Hollywood make-up and special effects artist Rick Baker, famed for his ape costumes, won his second Best Make-up Academy Award (or Oscar) for his work on this film.
It has been suggested that a Harry mask may have been used for hoaxing the Myakka Ape photos.
The TV Series can be found on YouTube, here is the first episode.
