In October 1967, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin filmed what appeared to be large female bipedal ape along Bluff Creek, now known as the famous Patterson-Gimlin film. Bluff Creek is located in the Six Rivers National Forest in Northern California and runs along the Klamath River.
The Bluff Creek area has a long history of bigfoot activity. For example, in 1958 loggers working in the area reported many unusual disturbances along with large footprints, and bigfoot sightings were reported as early as 1960.
Over the course of the last decade, the Bluff Creek Project has located, mapped and researched the original site.
